Sensex surges 488 points; Zomato, Titan Company gain

Indian benchmark indices were trading higher during the noon trading session amid buying in index heavyweights including Zomato Ltd.,Titan Company Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd.Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. among others.

At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76513.37 up by 488.86 points or by 0.64 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23291.6 up by 125.9 points or by 0.54 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 76567.02 and intraday low of 76064.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23311.9 and intraday low of 23158.45

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Zomato Ltd. (Rs. 210.45,+4.16%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3090.65,+3.49%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 699.00,+2.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1424.00,+2.14%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 11689.00,+1.86%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11227.75,-1.31%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 286.45,-0.97%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2213.20,-0.85%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1519.00,-0.68%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2302.40,-0.56%), among others.

Realty index was at 6616.56 up by 216.29 points or by 3.38%. Macrotech Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1213.25,+4.80%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2140.35,+4.79%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1180.30,+3.69%), Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. (Rs. 1112.35,+3.34%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1650.40,+3.06%),.

CGS index was at 61814.08 down by 11.13 points or by 0.02%. Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 282.00,-3.47%), LMW Ltd. (Rs. 15332.00,-1.81%), Grindwell Norton Ltd. (Rs. 1675.75,-1.73%), ABB India Ltd. (Rs. 5317.00,-1.31%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (Rs. 974.25,-0.82%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4229 , shares advanced were 2854 while 1201 shares declined and 174 were unchanged.
