Stock markets tumbled on Tuesday, with the benchmark Sensex plummeting 1,390 points as IT and private bank stocks faced heavy selling amid growing uncertainty ahead of the US implementing reciprocal tariffs on April 2.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 76024.51 down by -1390.41 points or by -1.8 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23165.7 down by -353.65 points or by -1.5 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 77487.05 and intraday low of 75912.18 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23565.15 and intraday low of 23136.4
