Sensex up 70 points; IndusInd Bank, PGCIL gain

Indian benchmark indices were trading flat with positive bias during the morning deals amid some buying seen in IndusInd Bank Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd among others.

At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at at 78088.73 up by 71.54 points or by 0.09 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23657.25 down by -11.4 points or by -0.05 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78167.87 and intraday low of 77784.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23736.5 and intraday low of 23614.7

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 660.00,+3.56%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 296.35,+1.79%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2778.35,+1.52%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1197.95,+1.24%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1357.40,+0.97%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Zomato Ltd. (Rs. 204.00,-2.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1438.95,-1.25%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 362.70,-1.21%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 11775.25,-1.03%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2156.25,-0.67%), among others.

Power index was at 6682.87 up by 67.67 points or by 1.02%. Siemens Ltd. (Rs. 5471.10,+6.88%), CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 644.60,+2.75%), ABB India Ltd. (Rs. 5533.20,+2.28%), NHPC Ltd. (Rs. 82.71,+1.72%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 296.00,+1.67%),.

HCS index was at 41736.48 down by -259.33 points or by -0.62%. Suven Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Rs. 1115.95,-3.11%), Indraprastha Medical Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 385.80,-2.51%), Neuland Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 11631.75,-2.47%), FDC Ltd. (Rs. 399.35,-2.43%), Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd. (Rs. 622.95,-2.37%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3861 , shares advanced were 1690 while 1996 shares declined and 175 were unchanged.
