Benchmark Indian equity indices continued their northward movement and settled higher by over 1 per cent, led by buying across various sectors.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 76348.06 up by 899.01 points or by 1.19 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23190.65 up by 283.05 points or by 1.24 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 76456.25 and intraday low of 75684.58 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23216.7 and intraday low of 22973.95
