Indian benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and Nifty50 were higher on Thursday, amid positive global cues after the US Federal Reserve decided to stand pat on interest rates citing economic growth concerns.
At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75928.23 up by 479.18 points or by 0.64 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23065.2 up by 157.6 points or by 0.69 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 76013.82 and intraday low of 75767.99 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23065.45 and intraday low of 22994.4
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1628.50,+2.64%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3569.00,+2.05%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1668.15,+1.92%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2836.90,+1.82%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1570.80,+1.77%), among others.
