Indian equity indices extended the gains on the second consecutive session on Tuesday with Nifty surpassing 22,850 intraday led by buying across the sectors and broader indices.
On Tuesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 75301.26 up by 1131.31 points or by 1.53 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22834.3 up by 325.55 points or by 1.45 %.
On the global front, Asian markets showed mixed performance on Wednesday, reflecting Wall Street's downturn as a sell-off in technology stocks accelerated.
On Tuesday, U.S. stocks declined, ending a two-day winning streak, as investors remained cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve's upcoming monetary policy decision and assessed the potential effects of President Donald Trump's tariff policies.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 260.32 points, or 0.62%, to 41,581.31, the S&P 500 lost 60.46 points, or 1.07%, to 5,614.66 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 304.55 points, or 1.71%, to 17,504.12.
