Gold prices increased by Rs 234 to Rs 90,962 per 10 grams in futures trading on Thursday as speculators opened fresh positions amid firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, June delivery gold contracts traded up by Rs 234 or 0.26% at Rs 90,962 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 19,530 lots.
Analysts attributed the price rise to the buildup of fresh positions by market participants.
