Gold prices surged to an all-time high of Rs 88,499 per 10 grams on Tuesday in the futures market, reflecting strong global trends.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), April delivery contracts initially hit the record level in early trade.
However, the prices later eased slightly, trading Rs 380 or 0.43% higher at Rs 88,403 per 10 grams, with an open interest of 13,898 lots.
