Zinc futures edge up to rs 281.50/kg on stronger demand

Zinc prices gained 50 paise to Rs 281.50 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday, supported by increased spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery zinc contracts rose by 50 paise, or 0.18%, to Rs 281.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 603 lots.

According to market analysts, the uptick in zinc prices was driven by higher positions taken by participants amid rising demand from consuming industries.
