Aluminium futures edged lower on Thursday, dropping Rs 1.15 to Rs 263.95 per kilogram as traders reduced their positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for April delivery fell by Rs 1.15, or 0.43%, to Rs 263.95 per kg, with a total trade volume of 929 lots.
According to analysts, the decline was primarily driven by subdued demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to scale back their holdings.
