Copper futures advanced by Rs 5.50 to Rs 895.90 per kilogram on Wednesday, driven by increased demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery copper contracts climbed Rs 5.50, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 895.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,272 lots.
Analysts attributed the price increase to stronger buying interest from market participants.
