Copper prices declined on Tuesday, falling 0.26% to Rs 865.15 per kilogram in the futures market as traders scaled back their positions due to muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper futures for March delivery dropped by Rs 2.25 to Rs 865.15 per kg, with a total trading volume of 890 lots.
According to analysts, lackluster demand in the spot market prompted speculators to reduce their positions, leading to the downturn in copper prices.
